Customize the CCMS Desktop user interface

You can customize the CCMS Desktop user interface, based on your enterprise and users.

Note: In a dedicated SaaS deployment, submit a support ticket to request that IXIA CCMS Customer Support perform this task for you.

You can simplify the user interface by customizing its default layout and its various perspectives. When you do, you can also hide menus, options, and other interface items that users do not need.

You can customize the following aspects of the CCMS Desktop:

Note: You cannot modify all features.

To customize the CCMS Desktop user interface:

  1. CCMS Desktop startup elements, which loads only once when CCMS Desktop opens
    • Import menu
    • Preferences menu
    • Perspectives that automatically open
  2. CCMS Perspectivesallow you to customize the following elements for each perspective:
    • Menus and sub-menus
    • Oxygen pop ups and action bar
    • Panels
    • Views
    • Buttons

For example, you could change the default Import dialog and simplify it for your users.

Since users only need import options for the CCMS, you can hide the other folders to reduce user options.
