Create a query

You can create and save search parameters that you use frequently as a query. It is quicker to reuse a query than it is to recreate the search parameters.

About this task

You can create the following types of queries:
  • Personal queries: Sets of criteria that you can reuse through IXIA CCMS.
  • Personal Textml queries: Sets of criteria that you can access and edit through the Textml Server console.

To create a query:

Procedure

  1. In the Search view, set up the search you want.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To save the criteria as a personal query, click the Save Query button (Save options icon).
    • To save the criteria as a personal Textml query, click the Save XML Query button (Save xml query icon).
    The Save query window appears.
