Download and extract CCMS Output Generator files

The first task when you install a new IXIA CCMS Output Generator is to extract the IXIA CCMS Output Generator files.

Note: Throughout this document, the %OutputGenDir% expression will be used to represent the Output Generator directory.

To download and extract IXIA CCMS Output Generator files:

  1. On the CCMS Output Generator server, create a directory for the CCMS Output Generator install.
    (Windows) C:\Ixiasoft\OutputGenerators\Prod
    (Linux) /opt/ixiasoft/OutputGenerators/Prod
    Note: You must have the following permissions on the directory:
    • (Windows) Read and write permissions
    • (Linux) Read, write, and execute permissions (750)
  2. Download and unzip the package:
    1. Go to the CCMS_7.3 folder of the MadCap Software Downloads site:
    2. Open the CCMS_OutputGenerator folder.
    3. Click the link to the latest build version of the CCMS Output Generator.
      The following files are listed:
      • outputgenerator-[version]_bin.zip
      • outputgenerator-[version]_conf.zip
  3. Extract both of the zip files to the %OutputGenDir% directory so that the unzipped files are in that one folder.
  4. Delete the .zip files from the directory.

  5. Follow the table above to determine if you need to restart CCMS Output Generator.
