Installation process
For most deployments, a single IXIA CCMS Output Generator server is required to handle output generation requests from all users.
If necessary, you can install multiple CCMS Output Generator servers for better performance. You can also install an CCMS Output Generator service on a workstation for development and test purposes.
The following is a high-level overview of the typical process you would use to install CCMS Output Generator:
- Extract the CCMS Output Generator files. See Download and extract CCMS Output Generator files.
- Configure the CCMS Output Generator host server properties. See Configure the CCMS Output Generator host server properties.
- Configure the connection to the IXIA TEXTML Server and Content Store and its related sub-topics, including password encryption and Kerberos security, if applicable. See Configure the IXIA TEXTML Server connection settings.
- Configure the Java wrapper. See Configure the CCMS Output Generator's Java wrapper.
- Configure the location of the DITA Open Toolkit catalog. See Configure the location of the DITA Open Toolkit catalog.
- Install and start the CCMS Output Generator service.
