Watermark graphic creation
IXIA CCMS Output Generator has a built-in task that adds a watermark graphic to a PDF. The watermark addition takes place after the PDF has been generated. Neither the PDF plugin nor the PDF renderer are involved in the process.
There are several constraints:
- You can use any graphic file format as a watermark except SVG.
-
CCMS Output Generator dynamically resizes watermarks to extend from left page edge to right page edge.
-
CCMS Output Generator places the watermark with the bottom edge of the graphic at the bottom edge of the page.
-
You cannot change this default placement.
Tip: You can adjust the size of your canvas relative to the size of the graphic itself to achieve the watermark placement you want.
Placement |
Guideline |
Example |
---|---|---|
Horizontal |
Create a canvas or artboard the same width as your PDF output page size, then horizontally center the graphic on the canvas or artboard. |
Suppose your PDF output page size is 8.5 inches wide, find the center of the artboard or canvas at 4.25 inches and place the center of the graphic there. |
Vertical |
Place the top edge of the graphic after calculating its desired distance from the bottom of the page. Tip: The scale of the artboard or
canvas does not have to be identical to the height of the final page
size, just the height from the bottom of the page to the top of the
graphic.
|
Suppose the graphic scale is set, and you want to place its top edge 6 inches from the bottom edge of the page. Create a watermark image with a canvas that is 6 inches in height and align the watermark graphic at the top edge of the canvas. |
