Delete a doctype or condition

You can delete a document type or a condition from the Access Manager window.

Important: Make configuration changes in a test environment and confirm they work before copying them to a production environment.

To delete a doctype or condition:

  1. In TEXTML Administration perspective, right-click the Content Store node and select CCMS Admin > Manage Access.
    The Access Manager window opens.
    Note: MadCap Software recommends that you avoid directly editing the accessrights.xml file. The Access Manager window has built-in validation mechanisms to reduce errors.
  2. Click lock manager icon Lock.
  3. In the Actions list, select an action.
    The doctypes and conditions configured for that action appear.
  4. Choose one of the following actions:
    • To delete a doctype, right-click the document type and select Delete Type.
    • To delete a condition, in the Conditions list, right-click the condition and select Delete Condition.
  5. Save your changes locally (CTRL+s).
  6. Click check in manager icon Check In Document:.
    Your changes to accessrights.xml are updated in the repository.
  7. Inform users of the changes.
    The changes are automatically applied once users close and then reopen their CCMS Desktop. Users can also apply the changes without restarting their CCMS Desktop by clicking IXIA CCMS > Synchronize Configuration. Additionally, refresh IXIA CCMS Web so that users see the change reflected there.
