Import maps
Use the Import Maps wizard to add maps authored outside IXIA CCMS Desktop to the Content Store.
You can import one or more maps and their dependencies all at once.
To import a map:

Select File > Import.
The Import dialog appears.
- Open the IXIA CCMS folder and select Import Maps (DRM).

Click Next.
The Import Map(s) dialog appears.

Click Browse.
The Open dialog appears.

Navigate to the *.ditamap file(s), select them, and click
Open.
The selected maps appear in the Maps to import list.
- Optional:
To import as a read-only object, select the
Import As External checkbox.
Note: As a result of selecting this option, several other features are set to default values and disabled.
- Optional:
To replace existing documents with the contents of the
imported documents, select the Update existing
documents checkbox. To also use the relative path to match the
documents to update, select Use relative path along
with file name to match documents to update.
If you select Use relative path along with file name to match documents to update, you must specify the base path of the imported file in a later step.
- Optional: In the Default language list, choose the language you want set for the file. If you want to overwrite the language attribute set in the imported file with the selected language, select the Override unknown languages with default checkbox as well.
- In the Images options section, choose the type of images in the Type list and the output format in the Format list for the images referenced in the document.
- Optional:
To assign a label, do the following:
- In the Labels section, click Select and add one or more labels.
- Click OK when done.
- Click Next.
- Select the Map IDs checkbox to keep the existing IDs. Clear the checkbox if you want new IDs assigned upon import.

attribute upon import. Clear the checkbox if you do not want the attributes removed. - Optional:
To import only one instance of images with the same filename,
select the Images checkbox.
Clear the checkbox if you want all images imported and assigned unique filenames.
- Optional:
To import only one instance of resources with the same
filename, select the Resources
checkbox.
Clear the checkbox if you want all resources imported and assigned unique filenames.
- Optional:
In the Import base
path box, type the base path to use when replacing existing
documents.
Important: If you selected Use relative path along with file name to match documents to update, you must specify the base path of the imported file in the Import base path box. This step is not optional.
The base path of the imported file must match the base path of the object in the Content Store (
originalRelativePath
index). - Click Next.
The Select Versions dialog appears.
- Do one of the following:
- To import the map in a product, click the Products tab and then select the product in which to import the map.
- To import the map in a library, click the Libraries tab and then select the library in which to import the map.
You can import maps in a single product or library only, but you can import it in more than one versions inside the product or the library.The releases and versions available for the selected product or library are displayed in the Selected Products/Libraries, Releases, and Versions pane. - In the Selected Products/Libraries, Releases, and Versions pane, select the versions to which you would like to add the imported map.
Use the filter at the bottom of the pane to filter the versions in the list by release name.The Primary Version drop-down list is populated with the list of selected versions.
- In the Primary Version list, select the primary version for the map.
The primary version is the version for which the map was initially created.
- Click Finish.
