The CCMS Desktop toolbar

This toolbar lets you perform many IXIA CCMS Desktop functions with a single click.

General functions

The general functions in this section allow users to quickly perform basic tasks, such as tasks to create topics or import files.

	Create new topic	Launches the Create Topic dialog
	Create new map	Launches the Create Map dialog
	Create new image	Imports a new image into the repository
	Create new resource	Imports a resource file into the repository
	Clean all views	Resets all views to their original default state, without rearranging their position in the DITA Perspective
	Connection information	Provides information about connection status and user rights
	Synchronize configuration	Provides immediate access to the most recent configuration files on the server
	Import localized images	Imports localized images back into the repository

The functions in this section act on the current document in the Editor view.

	Show preview	Opens Preview to display the current topic
	Select in map	If current topic or image referenced by map in the DITA Map view, highlights it
	Lock	Locks the current topic
	Release	Releases the current topic
	Clone	Clones the current topic
	Assign labels	Assigns a label to the current topic
	View dependencies	Provides view of the dependencies of the current topic
	Assign to...	Supports assignment of current topic to a user and adjust settings, such as its due date
	Properties	Provides view of system information about the current topic
	Copy	Opens a dropdown list of options: Copy Reference – Copies the current topic's file name to the clipboard. For example, jan1237848217831.xml. Copy Full Path – Copies the current topic's file name and absolute path within the TEXTML repository. For example, /content/authoring/jan1237848217831.xml. Copy ID – Copies the current topic's root ID to the clipboard. For example, jan1237848217831.
	Compare with...	Opens a dropdown list of current and prior versions of the topic in the repository for comparison, such as Compare to Latest Server Revision
	Change status	Changes the status of the current topic
	Generate output	Generates output from the current topic
	Revision history	Provides the current topic's revision history
	Add to favorites	Adds the current topic to the Favorites panel in the Documents view
	Open with...	Opens a dropdown to allow opening of the current topic with one of the other configured editors
