Examine the output of a Collaborative Review

You can compare the content of a Collaborative Review (CR) with another object, such as a former snapshot of a map, an Approval, or another CR, in either an Authoring or Translation cycle that you select as part of the CR process.

You can use a redline comparison to highlight changes to content between two versions so that reviewers can quickly scan the CR for differences. In CCMS Web, the simplest method of interacting with the CR is the real-time online version, though it does require you to refresh your screen to obtain the latest annotations or responses.

Note:
  • For versions prior to 7.1, you can only create a redline comparison between two CRs of the same map.

  • As of version 7.1, you can create a redline comparison for any existing object, such as a snapshot, an Approval of the same map, a previous snapshot of the same map, or a CR of the same map, as long as the object is in the same language. There is no option for comparisons between different languages.
Note: When creating a CR, you can also generate a PDF for reviewer download. If you create a CR with a redline comparison, the downloaded PDF contains an identical redline comparison.
