Primary version of an object
Even if an object is shared between multiple versions, the file for the object exists in only one of the versions: the Primary Version.
By default, the Primary Version is usually the first version you added the object to. For instance, when you create a topic, the version you select to create it in becomes the Primary Version.
The Primary Version is the one version from which you cannot remove the object. Removing it would leave the object without a version.
Note: For maps, the Primary Version is the only version a map is in because maps can be in only one DRM version.
An object’s primary version appears in bold in the Information view.
Tip: If you need to remove an object from its Primary Version, you can change the
object's Primary Version to a different version. Then you can remove the object from
that version.
