Compare two revisions

Compare lets you view the differences between any two revisions of a given document. Compare is not available for image files.

Use Compare to see where the differences are between any two versions of a document in the repository. Compare can be useful when you want to confirm file content before reverting to an older revision.

This function is available from all views.

  1. Right-click the file and select Revision History... from the menu.
    The Revision History dialog displays the list of all file revisions, with the latest at the top.
  2. Select the first revision, and hold down CTRL and click the second revision.
    The Compare button becomes active in the Revision History dialog.
  3. Click Compare.
    The two files open beside each other in your compare tool with the differences indicated.
The two selected revisions open in your configured compare tool with the differences between the two files indicated.
