XML editing software in IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop

When users work in CCMS Desktop, they edit DITA files using Oxygen XML editing software that is integrated into CCMS Desktop via an extension.

Each deployment package of CCMS Desktop therefore requires both a plugin from Oxygen and an Oxygen extension plugin from IXIASOFT.

You can choose from two editions of Oxygen editing software:

  • Oxygen XML Author provides the core functionality that most users need to work with DITA.
  • Oxygen XML Editor is required only by users who need advanced functionality to work with XSLT, schemas, and other XML files.

Each deployment package of CCMS Desktop can have only one edition of Oxygen software. The IXIASOFT extension must match the edition of Oxygen software you are using. If you are displaying the interface in another language, the language pack must also match the edition of Oxygen software.
