If an object has dependencies, they sometimes need to move along with the object. The Move Dependencies dialog appears only if there are
dependencies that must also change status to complete the move.
The Move Dependencies
dialog shows which dependencies must change and the changes that they need. The
following are common reasons dependencies need to be moved as well:
- You have some dependencies checked out
- Dependencies are further behind in their workflow and have a
different status
You can use the Move Dependencies dialog to automatically move the object and its dependencies
at the same time.
- (Optional): If you want to see a dependency, click beside its title.
The dependency opens in another tab. You can see it and get more information about it.
-
In the Move Dependencies dialog, click Continue.
CCMS Web
moves the dependencies as required to complete the move for the initial
object.
For example, CCMS Web checks in any dependencies that you have
checked out and/or moves them to the statuses stated on the Move Dependencies dialog.
-
If CCMS Web had to
check in objects, do the following:
-
Enter a comment to appear in the revision history for
them.
-
Click Check in.
The object is moved to the status you want,
and any dependencies blocking the move have been checked in and moved as well.
