Development Branch

A Development Branch (called a Version in IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop) is used for creating new content. All the processes for new creating content occur in a Development Branch (such as, writing, editing, and reviewing).

Behavior in CCMS Web and CCMS Desktop

  • Objects in a Development Branch/Version can be at any status
  • Objects in a Development Branch/Version can be moved to any status
  • Users can choose a Development Branch/Version when creating new content (for example, a topic or ditaval) or a new map instance
  • Editing objects in a Development Branch/Version in CCMS Web causes them to fork automatically if they are shared with any other type of Branch/Version
