Default roles in IXIASOFT CCMS

These are the default roles and their default configurations in IXIASOFT CCMS.

The following table shows the default configuration for each role:

When each role is active on an object and in which states
Any default settings for track changes
Maximum number of users assignable for the role

Note: All of these settings can be changed. Your deployment might have a different configuration for the default roles or different roles configured.

Writer	The Writer creates content, incorporates edits, and builds output. The Writer is generally the manager of content, primarily responsible for assigning it and moving it through the workflow. Reviewer	The Reviewer is an SME who uses IXIASOFT CCMS Web to review content and enter comments. Reviewers must edit with track changes on.	Any number of Reviewers can be assigned to an assignment.
Editor	The Editor reviews topics that were created by another Writer. They are peer reviewers. The Editor might either use comments to indicate edits or make changes directly to the content (with or without Track Changes).	Topic Authoring:review	None	Any number of Editors can be assigned to an assignment.
Contributor	The Contributor is usually an SME who uses CCMS Web to add content to topics or create new topics and maps as needed.	Topic Authoring:contribute	`ForceTrack Changes=True`: Track changes is on and Contributors cannot turn it off. `TrackChangesDefaultValue=On`: Track changes is on by default, but Contributors can turn it off. Note: If `ForceTrack Changes=True` then `TrackChangesDefaultValue=On` does not have any impact.	Only 1 Contributor can be assigned to a topic at a time.
Information Architect	The Information Architect supervises content creation to ensure the team's structural and style standards are being adhered to.	Ditaval / Map Authoring:work	None	Only 1 Information Architect can be assigned to a map or ditaval at a time.
Translation Coordinator	The Translation Coordinator manages translation projects.	Map Localization:tb translated Localization:in translation	None	Only 1 Translation Coordinator can be assigned to a map at a time.
Translation Reviewer	The Translation Reviewer reviews content that has been translated.	Map Localization:review	None	Any number of Translation Reviewers can be assigned to an assignment.
Project Coordinator	The Project Coordinator creates projects in CCMS Desktop and manages the schedule and resources within the project.	Project Project:planning Project:active Project:on hold	None	Only 1 Project Coordinator can be assigned to a project at a time.
