IXIASOFT CCMS Web Server specifications

The CCMS Web Server is a Java web applet that runs under a Tomcat server.

Tomcat server is installed with the installation package for the CCMS Web Server. An existing Tomcat server installation is not supported; it must be uninstalled and the CCMS Web Server will reinstall it.

Interactions with other components

The CCMS Web Server interacts with the different IXIASOFT CCMS components through the following processes:

  • The CCMS Web Server opens an outgoing connection to IXIASOFT TEXTML Server on port 2500/2551 to store, search, and retrieve the DITA documents and the user configuration.
  • The CCMS Web Server opens an outgoing connection to the IXIASOFT CCMS Output Generator on port 1500 (default) to generate the appropriate output type (PDF, HTML, etc.).
  • The port that the application listens on depends on whether you have a reverse proxy:
    • With a reverse proxy, it listens on http://localhost:8080 and ajp://localhost:8009. The port cannot be changed.
    • Without a reverse proxy, it listens on the all IP addresses on port 8080, but the port can be changed to 80.
  • The CCMS Web Server and oXygen Server interact over http://localhost:8080/.
