New features for IXIASOFT CCMS 6.0 with configuration changes

This is an overview of new features introduced in IXIASOFT CCMS 6.0 that required configuration changes. These are included as part of the update to 6.3.

Note: You do not need to make all these changes manually. As noted in their descriptions, some changes are only required if you want certain features.

New Advanced Users group

While installing IXIASOFT CCMS Web, the Web Installer automatically creates a new group called Advanced Users in groups.xml. You must add users to this new group to give them access to the advanced user functionality (i.e. make them writers).

Collaborative Review feature

Your deployment must use DITA Open Toolkit 2.3.1 or higher if you want to use Collaborative Review with IXIASOFT CCMS Output Generator 6.x. Upgrading the DITA-OT version is not part of the standard upgrade process. For information about upgrading the DITA-OT version, contact IXIASOFT Customer Support.

If your deployment has custom output plugins for an older DITA-OT version, you can still use the older DITA-OT version for your custom plugins and use a newer DITA-OT version just for Collaborative Reviews. This gives you time to update to a newer version of the DITA-OT,
