Creating watermark images
IXIASOFT CCMS Output Generator has a built-in task that adds a watermark image to a PDF. The watermark addition takes place after the PDF has been generated. Neither the PDF plugin nor the PDF renderer are involved in the process.
Watermark images are dynamically resized to extend from left page edge to right page edge. They are also placed with the bottom edge of the image on the bottom edge of the page. You cannot change this default placement; however, you can adjust the size of your image canvas relative to the size of the image itself to achieve the watermark placement you want.
Horizontal placement
For example, if your page is U.S. letter size (8.5 inches wide), you can create an image canvas that is also this wide. If you want your actual image to be centered in the PDF, then place your image in the horizontal center of this canvas. CCMS Output Generator will not need to dynamically resize the image, and will render it as you create it.
Vertical placement
Unlike for horizontal placement, you do not need to create a canvas that is 11 inches high. Let's assume you want the top edge of your watermark image to be 6 inches from the bottom edge of the page. You could create a watermark image with a canvas that is 6 inches in height and align the watermark image at the top edge of the canvas, like this:
