If some Branches
are unavailable for you, you must fork the ditaval and create a new instance. The changes
you make will only appear in the Branches you select.
To see if you must fork the ditaval, look for the Fork icon ().
Note: Ditavals do not have context maps, so you never need to select
one.
To fork a ditaval:
-
For the ditaval, click .
The Fork & Edit
dialog appears. It shows all the available Branches in which you can create
the new instance of the ditaval.
- (Optional):
Select or deselect Branches to change which Branches the
ditaval is forked in.
The new instance of the ditaval is created in the Branches
you select.
Note: You cannot select all Branches if the ditaval is in Done status (or
the equivalent final status in your deployment). You must deselect at least
one Branch to fork the ditaval in the remaining Branches. Or you can cancel
the fork and then move the ditaval to Work status
before editing it in all Branches.
-
Click Fork & Edit.
A new instance of the ditaval is created and opens in Ditaval Editor. Any changes you make appear only in that ditaval for those Branches.
