Can I change my topic type?

You cannot change an existing topic to another topic type; you need to recreate it.

Symptom

I created a topic as a concept and want to change it to a task.

Problem

I created the wrong topic type and want to change it.

Solution

IXIASOFT recommends creating a new topic and copying the content manually. If you manually edit the topic in text view and change the topic topic type and declaration, IXIASOFT CCMS Desktop displays the topic correctly, however, the indexcontent still reflects that it is the old topic type.
