Validate document

Use this procedure to validate the XML syntax of the current document.

1. Open your topic in the XMetaL editor.
2. Do one of the following:
   • Press F9
   • On the Validation toolbar, click the Validate Document button ().
   • From the menu bar, select XML Document > Tools > Validate Document...
   If there are errors in the XML syntax, the Validation dialog appears.

   

3. Double-click errors to locate the problematical content.
4. Click Close when you are finished.
