Change the status of an annotation

You can set the status for an annotation to keep track of your work.

To support content development and review management, each annotation has a status.

Table 1. Annotations status types

Status

Description

Unresolved

(Default for all new annotations)

The writer must review and respond to the annotation.

Resolved

The writer addressed the annotation and completed the proposed changes.

Accepted

The writer agrees with the proposed change, but deferred making the update.

Rejected

The writer disagrees with the proposed changes and sends it back to the contributor.

Note: If you are an assigned user, you can see but not change the status of an annotation.

As you make changes to the content, based on the annotations from the reviews, you should change the annotation status. For example, you can change the status of a comment from Unresolved to Resolved.

To change the status of an annotation:

  1. In the Body Content or Side Panel, find the annotation for status change.
  2. From the dropdown list with the current status, select the appropriate status.
  3. (Optional) If another user recently changed an annotation status and you receive an error message, click the link in the error messages to reload the Collaborative Review page and see the current status of the annotation.
Note: In IXIA CCMS Web the Collaborative Review page does not refresh automatically.
If there are no conflicts, the annotation status changes. A timestamp tracks the user making the status change and the time for doing so.
