An output is the target document deliverable for your content. You can generate an output from objects such as a maps, topics, and Collaborative Reviews.
- For the object that you want, click .
Important: Individual topics do not have context maps for resolving references (such as keyrefs). If you generate content from a topic, references and referenced content will not generate properly.
- Select Generate Output.
- In the Generate Output dialog, select the type of output to create.
Outputs are classified into two types:
Build Manifests and all other
Output Types.
Note: You see only the output types that you have the access rights for. Administrators can configure what output types are available.
The
Generate Output dialog
updates to show the output type you selected. The option to add ditavals and
build parameters appears only if the output allows it.
If you
selected a build manifest, you see the key details for it (such as the
output types and languages configured). You cannot change the settings for a
build manifest in the Generate Output dialog.
- (Optional): To select conditional profiling attributes, add a ditaval by doing the following:
This option appears only if the output type lets you add ditavals.
- Click Add Ditaval.
The Ditaval dialog appears. You can use the search to find ditavals and click the rows to get more info.
- For the ditaval you want, select the radio button.
- Click OK.
The ditaval is applied.
You can click the name of the ditaval to get a preview of its values or pick a different ditaval by clicking Modify.
- (Optional): Select any build parameters that you want to apply.
This option appears only if the output type lets you add build parameters.
The
available build parameters depend on the configuration in your deployment.
Ask your administrator if there are parameters you want
configured.
- Click Generate.
IXIA CCMS Output Generator starts creating your output. For build manifests, it generates all the outputs listed in the build manifest for each language.
Go to your My Outputs page to check the status of the output or download it.
