Turn change tracking on or off

This procedure enables and disables change tracking.

Change tracking lets you keep track of where revisions have been made within a topic. You can enable tracking for each individual document within a project. You can also configure IXIASOFT CCMS so that change tracking is automatically enabled for all documents when they are opened.

Change indicators are automatically removed when a file is promoted to the Authoring:done state (or its equivalent in your workflow).

  1. Open the topic in your XMetaL editor.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • On the XML Document Reviewing toolbar, click the Track Changes button (track changes icon).
    • From the menu bar click XML Document > Reviewing > Track Changes
    A check appears next to the menu selection when tracking is enabled for a specific topic.
