Insert CDATA section

Use this procedure to insert a CDATA section into the current document.

This procedure is useful if you have a lot of XML escape characters in a piece of text and you want the XML parser to ignore them.
  1. Open your topic in the XMetaL editor.
  2. Then, either:
    • Press CTRL+D.
    • On the Insertion toolbar, click the Insert CDATA button (cdata icon).
    • From the menu bar, select XML Document > Insert > CDATA Section.
An empty CDATA tag is inserted into your document.
Enter CDATA as required.
