Join element to preceding

You can easily merge an element with the one preceding, without a lot of cut and paste or drag-and-drop.

1. Open your topic in the XMetaL editor.
2. Place your cursor anywhere in the lower of the two XML elements you want to merge.
3. Then, do one of the following:
   • Press CTRL+ALT+J.
   • Right-click and select Join element to preceding.
   • From the menu bar, click XML Document > Join element to preceding.

The two elements are merged.
