Set the default image

This procedure designates an image as the default for all output formats.

The default image format is displayed if the Output Generator cannot find the format specified in the transformation template. This is also the image that displays in the Preview view and in the XMetaL editor.

Note: You cannot delete the default image format.
  1. Use Search to find the image for which you want to set a default.
  2. In the Search Results view, right-click the image and select Edit.
    The Progress Information dialog will be displayed as the file is locked and the Show/Edit Image dialog appears.
  3. Select the Format name to set as default.
  4. Click Set as Default.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In the Search Results view, right-click the image and select Release.
The selected image format will display wherever the image is referenced in the Preview view, or if the format specified by the transformation template cannot be found.
