Reset connection

Use this procedure to connect to another Content Store or another server, or as another user.

You need access rights and a password on the server/Content Store you want to connect to.

This procedure is useful if you have access to more than one server or Content Store, or if you have more than one user account with different sets of privileges.

  1. Do one of the following:
    • From the menu bar, click DITA CMS > Reconnect...
    • On the Global Actions toolbar, click the Connection Information button Connection information icon green
      Note: This button's color varies with connection status: it may be red if you are not connected.
    The Preferences dialog opens at the CMS Configuration pane.
  2. Enter connection information. Ask your system administrator if you're not sure what is needed here.
  3. Click Apply.
    A Progress Information dialog appears while the connection is carried out.
    A Login dialog appears when the connection is completed.
  4. Click OK to close the Login dialog.
  5. Click OK to close the Preferences dialog.
Your access information is saved for the next time you login.
